The highlight of a visit to Dolphin Adventure is the rare opportunity to swim and play with a beautiful bottlenose dolphin.
The 90-minute experience begins with an educational presentation that will give you a deeper understanding of the dolphins' physiology, environment and the training techniques we use to communicate with these amazing animals.

Following the orientation, small groups of guests begin their thrilling in-water dolphin experience. As you become acquainted with our dolphins through hugs, kisses and rubdowns, you will notice that the dolphins enjoy interacting with you. Then, taking the relationship one step further, you can swim and play with your dolphin... maybe even take an exciting belly ride or dorsal tow!

Dolphin Encounter

This unique 75 minute interactive program allows non-swimmers to learn more about Pacific bottlenose dolphins while standing in waist-deep water on a submerged platform.
Your experience begins with an informative introduction by our dolphin trainers who will help you understand the dolphins' anatomy, physiology, natural history, and fascinating underwater communications.

Upon entering our specially designed educational pool, you will have the opportunity to examine the dolphin's physical characteristics while rubbing and petting the dolphin's smooth skin. After you learn some training signals and how to feed them, the dolphins will shake your hand and even give you a friendly kiss!

Trainer for a Day

Discover the ultimate Dolphin Adventure by spending an exciting day working beside our dolphin trainers for a full 7 hours.
This program will help you gain an insight and understanding of the basic skills needed to care for and train dolphins through practical hands-on experience, while being an active member of our team of marine mammal experts.

You will be in close contact with the dolphins throughout the day - both in the pool and poolside - while assisting our trainers in every aspect of their work. Reserve a fun-filled, sun-filled, one-of-a-kind adventure for yourself or someone you love now!

Dolphin Kids

Interacting with dolphins is an amazing experience that leaves a lasting impression on both heart and mind. Dolphin Kids is a special dolphin interaction program that offers children ages 4-8 the opportunity to learn more about Pacific bottlenose dolphins in a fun, safe environment.

This unique dolphin experience allows small children to get closer to dolphins than they ever dreamed possible!

The 30-minute program starts with a poolside introduction to our family of dolphins. Then, accompanied by a participating parent, kids get to touch and interact with our dolphins in a hands-on session lead by one of our experienced dolphin trainers on a shallow shelf in our specially designed maternity pool.

A special feature of the Dolphin Kids program is that our recently born dolphins participate alongside their mothers in this very unique family experience. Everyone will receive a friendly dolphin kiss and have a chance to pet and hug the dolphins before the program ends with our dolphins showing off with some spectacular jumps!

Scuba diving

Located along the shores of Banderas Bay, Puerto Vallarta and its surrounding environs enjoy warm, clear waters, fantastic weather, and a diverse abundance of sea life - making it one of Mexico's top dive destinations that offers both beginners and certified scuba divers the opportunity to explore the mystery and wonders of the underwater world. Los Arcos is an underwater park and eco-reserve that sports some of the best diving along the coast of Banderas Bay.

During the day, the paradise hideaway of Las Caletas combines scuba diving with the luxury of relaxing on one of Mexico's most beautiful beaches. Just off the northern coast of Banderas Bay, the Marietas Island Marine Reserve is one of the most popular areas in the Mexican Pacific for both experienced and first-time scuba divers. The blue waters of the Pacific also offer certified divers the opportunity to dive the caves and tunnels of El Morro, and to explore the arches and steep walls of Corbeteña.

For beginners and resort course divers we have dive sites that are resplendent with a diversity of marine life in safe, tranquil waters. We offer certified divers more challenging dive sites, including our special Scuba Packages that allow you to experience a variety of dive sites for one low price, or let our dive professionals take your group on the Ultimate Dive Adventure for the vacation of a lifetime.

Non-certified divers can take 1 tank dives at our dive locations after completing a Resort Course at least one day before the date of their excursion. Certified divers must show their diver certification cards or complete a Refresher Course if it has been more than 12 months since their last dive. Certified divers can book 2 tank dives at each site.

Las Marietas Islands

Originally made famous by Jacques Cousteau in the 1970's, the Marietas Islands Marine Reserve has now become one of the most popular areas in Western Mexico for scuba diving. This site features a variety of tropical fish, mantas, turtles and (December to April), whales. A site with a great variety of caves, reefs, and drop-offs.

Las Caletas

The underwater coves, nearby natural reef and diverse array of brilliant sea life make this one of the finest dive sites on the Pacific coast of Mexico. The reef is home to colorful tropical fish, turtles, and sometimes mantas. Good drop-offs, nice shallows, fine beaches. A great place to combine beach combing, lazing in the sun, and diving.

El Morro

Six miles West of Marietas Islands and on the very edge of Banderas Bay lies El Morro, a series of rock pinnacles extending above the surface of the blue waters of the Pacific. This world-class dive site combines drop-offs, caves and arches with a great diversity of marine life including mantas, large schooling fish, turtles, and dolphins.

Los Arcos

Half Day Dive at Los Arcos - "The Arches," are a group of granite rock formations with caves that have been sculpted by the force of the ocean over thousands of years. The Devil's Drop and El Bajo, combined with the rich variety of marine life you'll see while diving at Los Arcos during the day, make this a magical dive experience you'll never forget!

The essence of the Whale Photo Safari is to find the wildlife and enjoy those precious moments when you can sit peacefully and watch the whales and dolphins play, breach, eat, or just hang out.

There is no such thing as a "typical day" in this adventure tour.
